Date Chocolate Brownies (GF, DF & Refined Sugar Free)
I have a sweet tooth (as you can tell) and always look for alternatives and healthy ways to bake. I came across the idea of mixing dates and hazelnut to make Healthy Gluten Free Brownies without any added sugar. I tried it and was amazed with the result ! It was the first time I do it and I knew that this will be one of my signatures :)
What I love the most about those brownies is that I know exactly what's inside, all ingredients are healthy alternatives and I don't feel guilty eating them.
I made them with Almond Flour, but you can try it with Gluten Free All purpose flour also. Check below the ingredients and steps to make those super healthy brownies
- ½ Cup Medjool dates
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1 Cup Almond Flour
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- ½ Cup Cocoa powder
- ¼ Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 Tbsp Canola Oil
- ¾ Cup Hot water
- 2 Tbsp Hazelnut butter
How to make it
1) Place date in a bowl and pour hot water until they are soft (10 min)
2) Drain the dates and mix them with hazelnut butter Then keep them aside
3) In a food processor blend the dates then add the flour, egg, vanilla, honey or maple, canola oil, cinnamon, baking soda and salt
4) Mix well until combined then spread the mixture in preheated pan for approximately 20 min.
